High School in 2009 before attending Wabash College, a private institution providing a rigorous liberal arts education producing graduates well-equipped with the necessary skills, education, and drive to succeed in our ever-changing society. Jake earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Theory and a minor in Religion.

During his undergraduate studies, Jake was a collegiate swim team member and a member of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, where he developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. After working for a year in the construction industry, Jake attended Montana School of Law in Missoula and participated in the joint Masters in Public Administration and Juris Doctorate degree program. While in law school, he had the opportunity to intern with Federal Magistrate Judge Jeremiah Lynch and the Cascade County Attorney’s Office.

After graduating law school, Jake joined the Cascade County Attorney’s Office, gaining extensive and invaluable experience prosecuting a wide array of cases ranging from minor traffic offenses and DUIs to violent felonies, including homicides and sex offenses. Throughout his tenure at the Cascade County Attorney’s Office, Jake was twice awarded by the Cascade County DUI Task Force for his diligence and success prosecuting DUI cases. Jake was later appointed to assist the 8th Judicial District Adult Treatment Court program. While doing so, Jake gained substantial knowledge in drug addiction, substance abuse disorders, and the affect these issues have, not only on the individual but, on close family members and our community as a whole. This work fostered a compassion for the members of our community suffering from their addictions and a passion to help better those afflicted with drug addiction and their family members.  Driven by his dedication to help others, his passion for the law, and his affinity for our community, Jake started his own private practice in 2022.

Outside of his law career, Jake enjoys international travel, exploring the great and vast lands of Montana, gardening, and is an avid dog lover. He is also an active board member of the Great Falls Symphony and has helped raise funds for different charities close to his heart.
